”"Lee Bronze" was born Bernard Barnes in Washington D.C. which cultivated such acts as Marvin Gay, Chuck Brown, Ginuwine, Duke Ellington and the list goes on. Music surrounded his everyday life from family gatherings to the neighborhood. While receiving professional piano instruction from his late great grandmother he discovered his passion for music. He not only wanted to learn and play the compositions that were given in his lessons but to in fact create his own original music as well. Then hip-hop emerged. Lee Bronze began looking for his artistic outlet within this art form after becoming fascinated with the endless creative possibilities. First he studied and honed his craft as a writer meanwhile always wanting to explore the production side as well. Constantly formulating and arranging beats in his head ready to be brought to life like lyrics to the pad. Soon it became evident that a new creative sound would have to be created to fit his style which only he could create. With these talents combined today Black Phoenix Productions is evolving at a speed that cannot be duplicated. Lee Bronze is the truly a jack of all trades.
